There are alway experienced club members to help those who are new to the sport, whether it is advice on training and racing, setting up the best position on your bike or just general cycling knowledge. We are a very friendly club and welcome everyone to our club night on Thurdays 8:00 PM at the 21st Scout Headquarters, Autumn Close, off Carterhatch Lane, Enfield Every Thursday 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Cycle Rides
Cyclists from the Whitewebbs Cycling Club meet at the Brookmans Park Hotel every Sunday at 9am. You don't have to be a member to ride, just turn up. at just before 9am. Our usual routes take us through the country lanes of Hertfordshire. Sometimes we venture over to Whipsnade, or Buntingford. We ride a shorter distance if the weather is bad. Yes, there are some hills, but we wait for everyone to regroup at the top. Nobody ever gets left behind. The distance we cover is usually between 40 and 50 miles. The average riding speed is around 15-16 miles per hour in the winter and 17-19 miles per hour in the summer. There's usually around 10-15 cyclists turn up. Some of our regular cyclists ride over from Cheshunt, Edmonton, Enfield and Barnet. So, if you want some extra miles before and after the main ride, I'm sure you'll be able to meet up with someone on route. The Whitewebbs club run is not only for members, or only for men. We have an increasing number of ladies, juniors and seniors riding every Sunday.

Traditions Old – Traditions New
Although we as a club have had more than a few years behind us, our greatest strength is still our refusal to accept that what we have achieved in the past, even though successful must be done again in the future. We acknowledge the past and pay it due respect, but we accept the future as the real challenge and will always be prepared to discard the old if a change will result in improvements. This outlook on life has long been held by the Whitewebbs and is the one tradition that must not change. Your committee will maintain this tradition but it is up to every member to put forward his or her own ideas for improving the clubs activities and facilities, if you do not ask for it, you cannot expect to be considered and if you do not get what you ask for then go one better and get elected on to the committee and fight for it. Young and new ideas are vital for keeping the club alive
